Interlight Central Asia + Smart Sec & Building, the Second Annual International Exhibition of Lighting, Security Systems and Automation, was held in Astana

Central Asia + Smart Sec & Building, the second international exhibition, was successfully held in Astana from November 6 to 8, 2024.

We present to your attention the results that we have achieved during three amazing days of the exhibition.

Main Results of the Exhibition 2024

This year, 72 exhibitors from China, Russia and Kazakhstan took part in Interlight Central Asia + Smart Sec & Building, who presented advanced solutions in the field of decorative and technical lighting, building automation systems and security technologies. During the three days, the event attracted 1,053 visitors, including professionals from the fields of architecture, distribution, wholesale and retail trade, construction, design, production and installation. It is noteworthy that 45% of them visited the exhibition for the first time, which underlines the interest in the format and relevance of the topic.

As part of the Interlight Central Asia + Smart Sec & Building, more than 60 B2B meetings with direct buyers were held. 28 buyers and 36 exhibitors took part in them, and all participants noted the high level of organization and effectiveness of negotiations, emphasizing the significant impact of the event on establishing business ties and strengthening the image of their companies.

Business Program

The exhibition business program included intensive sessions and master classes. The key topics of discussion included the innovative approaches to lighting design, building automation, as well as energy efficiency and sustainable development.

On the first day of the exhibition, lectures and master classes were held from the partner of the exhibition - TANU Association of Architects and Designers of Kazakhstan, as well as events within the framework of the Day of Lighting Design. The participants not only studied modern approaches to the design of rooms and lighting, but also observed in practice how lighting solutions affect the perception of space and create comfortable conditions for a person. Nadezhda Rayner conducted a master class on how to properly plan lighting in residential areas.

On the second day, partner sessions were held on topical issues of the industry.

One of the key events was a special session of the QAZPROPERTY Association of Management and Service Companies on energy saving and decarbonization of buildings, where invited experts shared their experience in implementing energy-saving technologies and discussed an integrated approach to creating energy-efficient infrastructure. The session became a platform for professional discussions.

The Union of Builders of Kazakhstan held a session on energy efficiency and innovations in lighting. The speakers discussed the creation of standards for architectural lighting that will improve the aesthetics of cities and make lighting energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

During the partnership session, experts from the Q88 Association for Sustainable Development of Territories discussed the importance of lighting for the urban environment, the impact of playgrounds on urban infrastructure and safety, as well as the integrated development of territories and the use of paving stones in landscaping.

Sergek Group Product Manager Nurbol Amerzhan spoke about how artificial intelligence helps operators watching CCTV cameras effectively identify security violations, detect fires, fights or unauthorized entry into facilities. Thanks to signals from AI, the operator receives timely information about a possible threat. This is especially important, since it is almost impossible to manually track data from a large number of cameras, and without the help of technology, the operator may miss critical moments.

On the third and final day of the exhibition, the director of URBAN College Nazgul Telebayeva raised the problem of the shortage of qualified personnel in the field of building maintenance and proposed solutions through the interaction of business with the system of technical and vocational education. She noted that by the time students graduate, they often have outdated knowledge that does not meet market requirements. Working together with businesses, including updating educational programs and training on modern equipment, will help produce in-demand specialists who are ready to work in modern conditions.
